The experience of using blast furnace slag as an artificial foundation of the building foundation is considered. In the process of construction and installation works, the displacement of the columnar foundations was revealed due to changes in the initial properties of the blast-furnace slag. The chemical composition of the slag belonged to the group of inert materials. In fact, after layer-by-layer compaction, the process of disintegration of its initial properties began. The analysis of the conducted studies showed that in the regulatory and scientific literature there are no unambiguous recommendations on the use of this material as the base of buildings and structures. The recommendations that are available relate exclusively to its use in road foundations. From experience it follows: the use of slag in construction is possible, subject to confirmation of its compliance with specific construction conditions.

The problem of energy saving is one of the most pressing problems of our time. In the Russian Federation, especially in the northern part of the country, the task of energy saving is one of the first places. As you know, the main reason for the increased energy consumption for heating and ventilation of buildings is the low level of thermal insulation of the building envelope. The most vulnerable element for heat loss in buildings are translucent structures, through which more than half of the heat supplied to the building is lost. Thus, to solve this problem, it is necessary to look for ways to increase the resistance to heat transfer of window structures and increase their thermal characteristics. One of the solutions for improving the thermal characteristics of translucent structures is the use of protective and heating films. In this work, we carried out experimental studies of the effect of the heating element on the thermal characteristics of window constructions compared to a window without a heating element.

This article presents a set of measures for the reconstruction of the local space of apartment buildings in the framework of the program "Formation of the modern urban environment of the city of Rostov-on-don". The stages and criteria for assessing the local area for the inclusion of the yard area in the improvement project are also considered. A systematic approach to the reconstruction of the local area on the example of an apartment building located in the city is shown. The article presents the results of the use of additives based on non-stoichiometric compounds Mo and W to improve railway greases LZ-CNII and CIATIM 201. In the course of the work, a comparative analysis of the thermophysical and tribological properties of these lubricants with additives was carried out. It was also established that the introduction of lubricants of this type of additives into the dispersion medium improves the tribological properties without deteriorating the performance parameters of these lubricants.

The physical and chemical properties of cobalt catalysts promoted by manganese oxides for the synthesis of hydrocarbons by the Fischer-Tropsch method are studied. The influence of polymorphic modifications of the alumina carrier on the specific surface area, pore volume, degree of reduction, size of cobalt crystallites,catalytic activity, dispersion degree of catalyst reduction is considered.

The authors analyzed the accident statistics with the participation of motorcyclists in the Russian Federation. The results of an expert study of a road accident involving a motorcyclist and a car are presented. Determined the cause of the accident. On known mathematical dependences it is established that at observance by the driver of the motorcycle Of traffic rules road accident could not occur. This conclusion is confirmed with the help of the program "Automaker".

The following work looked into sensitive analysis. Sensitive analysis is used to gather some data of analysed problem and further to reduce the time required to run a simulation. The work explains importance of the tool in field of mechanics engineering. The work briefly outline applications of the tool in industries. Also I-beam analysis was done to better understand influence of sensitive analysis. The results illustrated that by reducing nodes in the geometry of the I-beam the output values stay the same, but too much reduction will lead to incorrect results. The comparison of the two methods also took a place in this work, to see the correlations and discrepancy of the problem.
